Q: Why hire a personal trainer?

A qualified personal trainer consults with you to customize a fitness program for to suit your specific needs and goals. The consultation includes a postural analysis, assement of your fitness level, injuries, strengths, restrictions, and dietary review. Your personal trainer users all of this data to customize a fitness program that is just for you.
Whether you stay with the trainer on an on-going basis or for two sessions, your consultation will help you to understand the muscle imbalances that we all have, and yours in particular.
Whether you work out in a gym or at home, be aware that it may not be safe to use machines with which you are unfamiliar. It may not be safe to use free-weights when they are new to you. In the long-run, without guidance, you can do more harm than good.
A personal trainer assesses your techniques, make adjustments, and ensures that you are doing your workout correctly for safety and maximum results. This keep you free of injury and helps you to get the most out of each workout. 
Moreover, your trainer sets goals with you and devises a plan to help you to stay on target and achieve those goals.  

Q: I used to work out regularly, but life got in the way. How can a personal trainer help me to get back into shape?

A: A personal trainer works with you to develop a comprehensive fitness plan. Your trainer assesses your current fitness level, reviews your dietary habits, and establishes goals to get you back to where you want to be. Your trainer is your coach. She help you to establish and monitors benchmarks for success and to make adjustments along the way, when appropriate, to help you to get into your best shape ever within the time frame that you and she establish.

Q: I'm recovering from an injury. Can a personal trainer help me?

A: Yes. Your trainer works with your physician to determine what limitations, if any, you may have. From there, we start building together.  

Q: I've been working out for years. What can a personal trainer do for me?

A: Everyone hits a wall or plateaus at some point in their workout program. A personal trainer can help you to change your routines, mix it up, and find new ways to keep your workout exciting and productive. Even one new exercise can create 15 different workouts. The same is true for cardio. We mix it up to make it exhilerating and keep you on the road to your goals.  

Q: As a woman, will strength training make me appear too muscular?

A: It is a myth that women who lift weights develop bulky muscles. Our bodies naturally retain soft curves even when we develop muscle beneath the skin. This is due to our hormonal composition. Unless we mess with our natural make-up in unnatural ways (i.e. by use of drugs), we can firm up our muscles to create beautiful curves and, at the same time, increasing metabolism. 

Q: I prefer to workout in a gym. Will you train me in a gym?
